My Dearest Walton,

If you are reading this it is a happy day. It means the executor isn't
completely incompetent. I'm sure you've already been notified that you
are the chief benefactor of my will. The whole of my main estate and
three quarters of my fortune. The other nineteen houses have been
given, with an appropriate portion of the remaining inheritance, to
what various family and flunkies I felt to have been of sufficient
worth to be deserving of my largess.

You may ask yourself, and if not you then there are surely others who
will, what makes you deserving of the lions share of my earthly
treasures? You who constantly fought me? You who couldn't go a week
without picking a quibble out of jealousy or spite or both? You who is
directly responsible for the failure of three costly ventures? Why
you? You can tell all who ask whatever you want. Make up some lie,
which you've always been so good at, about how despite our differences
I held you in the highest regards.

To you, and only you, I will bestow the truth of why you have come
into such good fortunes. It is because falling from your current
relative squalor is not sufficient revenge. I boost you up only to
make your fall all that much more satisfying. The fact that I'm dead
and cannot enjoy your eventual suffering will not decrease the
embarrassment you have and will bring upon your family name.

I know about the ghastly crimes you've committed. Furthermore, I have
proof. Enough proof for the good King's Courts to throw you from this
Earth and into the depths of Hell. You are the only one who knows this
proof exists. I've hidden it about one of the 19 minor estates left to
others in my will. If you can find the proof and dispose of it before
the someone else finds it, then perhaps you deserve your freedom.

If not, I look forward to shaking the hand of your headless corpse
when you come to join me in Hell.

Sincerely,
M.

"No news is good news."

There are two possible interpretations of this statement.

1. The lack of news is good news.
2. There is no news that is good news.

Let's discuss these in a what was first be last and last be first fashion.

Firstly the last, that's awfully pessimistic.
Lastly the first, that's not inherently true.

Eventually I plan on getting a baseball video game and when I do I am making a team with the names from the Who's on First sketch by Abbott and Costello. The team Costello is supposed to be playing for is the Yankees, but I might just make a new team, the Abbottown Costellos.

Line Up:
Catcher: Today
Pitcher: Tomorrow
1st: Who
2nd: What
3rd: I don't know
SS: I don't give a darn
LF: Why
CF: Because
RF: Maybe.

They don't ever name the Right Fielder. According to Wikipedia there is a board game that has the Right Fielder being named Nobody. They also speculate that the Right Fielder is Costello, but it says he plays Catcher in the sketch. Another possibility according to Wikipedia is that the Right Fielder is named Naturally. Which comes from a misreading of the play.

I think Maybe would work well.

Costello: Okay, do you know the Right Fielder's name?
Abbott: Maybe.
Costello: Maybe you do or maybe you don't?
Abbott: I do, Maybe.
Costello: Well, are you going to tell me?
Abbott: Maybe.
Costello: Who's in right field?
Abbott: Who's on first!

I'm such a dork. I just wrote my first Greasemonkey script. The online library catalog for the local library doesn't use cookies so you have to log in a million times, which is really annoying. So I looked at some other auto log in script and adjusted it for my purposes.

I had a business seminar in Chicago so the wife came along to hang out afterwards.

The main highway into town was a little tore up and traffic was bad. We moved along okay on the way in, until the thunderstorm and pouring, absolutely pouring rain hit. We made it alright. The drive down took about 3 hours, including a stop for food and gas. So the traffic wasn't too horrible.

Food review. A food court is a food court, no matter how fancy the mall. Chipolte's is a lot like Qdoba. Their idea of mild salsa is diced tomatoes. Not a fan. We tried to stop at popeyes, but they didn't have any buns. How do you not have buns? White Castle, do yourself a favor, do not eat White Castle. It tastes much the same it looks, bad.

The cool thing about the mall that was attached to the hotel was the Lego Store and the various cool lego sculptures on park benches.

The drive home was the worst thing about the trip. It took us three hours just to get the border of Michigan. It was insane. Way too much construction.

We're going back in a week and a half and taking the kids and doing the whole tourist thing.

Note to Indiana and Illinois Department of Transportation. Every hear of a rest stop? You might want to build some.
